Dr.
Tim Bengtson has been in practice in Illinois for the past 20
years. After completing his undergraduate education in Biology
at the University of Colorado he went on to graduate from the
University of Missouri School of Optometry in 1986. He began practice
in Salem, Illinois that same year.
In 1989 Dr. Bengtson moved
to Macomb purchasing Dr. Henderson's practice located on the Macomb
Square and opened Professional Eyecare Center. In may of 2000
Professional Eyecare Center moved to its current location on East
Jackson. Dr. Bengtson offers a full range of services including
comprehensive vision examinations, diagnosis and treatment of
eye disease, pre and post-operative surgical care for LASIK and
cataract surgery patients, contact lens fitting, and low vision
services. His professional association memberships include the
American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association,
the West Central Optometric Society (past President), Research
to Prevent Blindness, and the Illinois Society to Prevent Blindness.
Originally from Minnesota, Dr. Bengtson has made
Macomb his home with his wife Kimberly and their two children,
Blake and Hannah. They are longtime members of University Baptist
Church. Outside of the office Dr. Bengtson enjoys boating, golf
and turkey hunting. |
Dr.
Linda Auer is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board
of Ophthalmology. She completed her doctor of osteopathy degree
at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences
in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Auer joined the Galesburg Clinic, P.
C. in 1998. Dr. Auer is on staff at OSF St. Mary Medical Center
and Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She practices general adult and
pediatric ophthalmology, specializing in refractive and laser
vision correction, plastic surgery and advanced cataract and glaucoma
surgery.
Dr. Linda Auer joined Dr. Bengtson in 1999. Dr.
Auer sees patients in consultation for cataract surgery, eyelid
surgery, refractive surgery (laser vision correction), and medical/surgical
care for diabetics. |
Dr.
Gary Crosby graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in
1969 and has been in practice in Macomb for 37 years. He joined
Dr. Bengtson and the Professional Eyecare Center in May of 2004.
Dr. Crosby offers comprehensive vision examinations, diagnosis
and treatment of eye disease, pre and post-operative surgical
care for LASIK and cataract surgery patients, and contact lens
fitting.
Dr. Crosby and his wife, Vicki Jobe-Crosby, have
four daughters and three grandchildren. In his spare time Dr.
Crosby enjoys hunting and golf.
Our office puts an emphasis on continuing education
to perpetually expand our knowledge base. Everyone is expected
to strive to be the best that they can be, because every staff
member plays a role in the success of the practice. For this reason
we encourage staff members to seek certification through the American
Optometric Association's National Para-optometric Registry. |
Dr.
Kevin Johnson graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2009. In 2004 he received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Western Illinois University. Dr. Johnson offers a full range of services including comprehensive vision examinations, diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, pre and post-operative surgical care for LASIK and cataract surgery patients, contact lens fitting, and vision training and therapy. His professional association memberships include the American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association, and the secretary of the West Central Optometric Society.
Originally from Macomb, Dr. Johnson and his wife Kristin returned here with their two children, Kassidy and Kolin. When not in the office, Dr. Johnson enjoys playing golf, hunting, and spending time with his friends and family. |
